FUNDING

Modern Apprenticeships
The Modern Apprenticeship programme offers people aged 16 to 19 the opportunity to earn while they learn, as they work towards a recognised qualification, skilled employment and greater career prospects. Ambition Centre for Training offers individuals the chance to gain skills and qualifications in hairdressing, whether they are coming straight from school or further education or already in employment. Funding for a Modern Apprenticeship programme is made available from Skills Development Scotland. For further information on funding a Modern Apprenticeship please contact Ambition Centre for Training on 0131 334 6427, or click here.

ITASDS Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) are for people who are 16 or over and living in Scotland. You must have an income of £22,000 (gross) a year or less, or be on benefits to be eligible to get up to £200 towards the costs of learning or training. Most of Ambition Centre for Training’s courses attract this funding.

Information regarding how to apply for an ITA can be found here and click on Learn and train.
